Another milestone in Alides’ Brussels expansion
Ghent/Brussels – September 15, 2022 - The purchase of the Gulledelle 100 site marks yet another important step in Alides’ ambitious expansion. The site, which offers an impressive visibility from the Brussels Ring , is a strategic addition to its portfolio, with which the Ghent based investor and developer reaffirms its dedicated will to keep expanding its activities, even in the current challenging environment. The site, which was the former HQ of the Brussels Environmental Agency, offers multiple development opportunities. It is Alides' firm intention to collaborate with all stakeholders, local and regional, in order to bring a sustainable new development to the neighbourhood.
A gateway to the city
Located along the E40 entranceway in Sint-Lambrechts-Woluwe, the highly visible Gulledelle 100 site with its surface of 1,4 hectares has the potential to become the gateway landmark to the city of Brussels. The vacant and outdated office buildings on the Gulledelle site are in need of renovation, a challenge that Alides is willing to take up. The exceptional location offers ample opportunities and Alides has the ambition to develop a new and sustainable project that will upgrade the streetscape, in consultation with the neighbourhood and the local and regional authorities.
Ambitious growth strategy
"The sustainable redevelopment of outdated sites and buildings into new and sustainable projects is one of the key pillars of our family group’s expansion strategy, with which we not only aim to revitalize neighbourhoods, but also prepare them for a new and durable future. A strategy we not only develop in Belgium, but also in Poland and Luxembourg", says CEO Rikkert Leeman.
